Equip Class
Try YouTubing “Why I Left Christianity…” You’ll get inundated with a flood of deeply personal, profoundly different stories for why real people have “deconstructed” from the Christian faith. This probably hits close to home for you, too - most likely, someone close to you has recently stepped away from Christianity.
We know this isn’t a new thing. But it’s a popular trend right now, a trend that forces us Christians to ask ourselves, “What are we missing?” - “Could we have prevented it?” - “What can the Church do better?”
This fall’s 8-week Equip Class - “Creative Deconstructing” - is an attempt to pursue this movement, and the people in it. Practically, each week will follow a major Christian doctrine and show (1) what it is, (2) where the “Deconstruction” movement has gotten it wrong, and (3) why the biblical gospel, and the Person of Jesus, is still better…and true.
By the end of the class, you will be equipped with a robust biblical theology, have a framework for how to converse with those who have deconstructed in your life, and fall more in love with who Jesus is…and why He matters in a post-truth world.
